KUED Channel-7 will put your knowledge to the test in July, as it airs three local documentaries docu-mentaries that contain fascinating details of the state's past. "Utah: The Struggle for Statehood" airs Saturday, July 3 at 7 p.m. (parts 1 and 2), with local Utah personalities giving voice to documents docu-ments and accounts of early Utahns. Parts 3 and 4 of the series, produced by Ken Verdoia and Nancy Green, airs Saturday, July 10 at 7 p.m. An unprecedented television production, "The Struggle' for American Olivia Hilmo, left, jogs with big sister Larissa and father Rob at Friday's American Cancer Society Relay For Life event. The all-night runwalk continued through Saturday morning morn-ing as teams gathered at Park City High School. Activities for kids included face painting, a Velcro wall, sumo wrestling suits and musical musi-cal entertainment. Teams were responsible for raising money to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society and will be used for research, advocacy, advo-cacy, education and patient services. The Park Utah filmmaker Lee Groberg, "Trail of Hope" tells the story of the Mormon pioneers' 1,300-mile trek across the country, using the narration narra-tion of Emmy-Award winner Hal Holbrook. The documentary includes first-hand accounts of the pioneers, gleaned from diaries and journals pioneers kept during the westward journey. On Saturday, July 24 at 7 p.m., KUED will air "Brigham Young," another documentary produced by Verdoia and Green. Using archival photographs, interviews with historians histo-rians from throughout the nation and the words of Young, as well as his family, followers, opponents and the media of the day, the documen G of July holiday; P Record tary features more than 30 local personalities per-sonalities who provide speaking parts.
