"Hi fuss S Submitted by Park City Board of Realtors The Park City Board of Realtors marked its 23rd anniversary at their annual Professional Achievement Awards party to recognize the members within the organization for their service to the public. The "Puttin" on the Glitz" party was held at Silver Lake Lodge in Deer Valley on March 26. The Board of- Realtors and their Philanthropic Foundation contributed to many causes in 2003, including domestic violence prevention, senior citizens, Park City Outreach, open space and community needs related to housing. Some of the contributions contribu-tions made were to the Peace House. Daily Bread, Wasatch-Summit Wasatch-Summit County Justice Center, People's Health Center. Recycle Utah, Park City Summit County Arts Council, Adopt a Native Elder, COOL, Park City Historical Society, Diversity Day and Park City High School Booster Club. Also, through the Utah Association of Realtors Housing Opportunity Fund, the Board of Realtors was able to contribute to Mountainlands Community Housing Trust for their Transitional Housing Program and to Habitat for Humanity. Community Recognition Award Troy Duffin was the Boards choice for the 2003 Community Recognition Award. He was recognized rec-ognized for his significant contributions contri-butions to Park City and the surrounding sur-rounding areas by creating a spectacular trail system that connects con-nects all of our communities. Duffin was the founder of the Mountain Trails Foundation whose mission is to promote and preserve trail access for all non-motorized non-motorized users. With his vision, he was able to create the Mid Mountain Trail which runs through the three ski resorts (Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons) and continues to Pinebrook. Duffin was also instrumental in creating the McCloud" Creek Trail and the Millennium Trail which will run . from Summit Park to Park City. He has relinquished his position posi-tion as director of the Mountain Trails Foundation but still serves as a director on their board of sirectors. Salesperson of the Year Carol Agle, Prudential Utah Real Estate, was presented with the title of Salesperson of the Year for 2003. She was awarded Rookie of the Year in 1983 and Salesperson of the Year in 1993, 1995 and 2002. Agle became a director in 1995 and served as president of the Park City Board of Realtors in 1997-98. She is a lifetime member of the Masters, Professional Achievement " PHOTO COURTESY OF WALSH PHOTOGRAPHY Brady Hartzog, Carol Agle, Diane Hodge and Troy Duffin received recognition from the PCBOR. Award as well as attaining her GRI and CRS designations. Agle is also an Associate Broker. She currently serves on the Mountain Trails Foundation Board of Directors and on the Park City Library Board. She represented the Board of Realtors on the Citizens' Open Space Committee from 1999 to 2002 and helped get the second Open Space bond passed on the November, 2002 ballot. Her long term interest is in growth managementopen man-agementopen lands and she helped found Utah's first Land Trust. Agle is a high school Sunday school teacher and chair of her church board. Her own thoughts on her success would probably include: a commitment to excellence, excel-lence, habitual diligence and persistence, per-sistence, and a passion for providing pro-viding and caring for others. Her hard work and extensive knowledge knowl-edge earned her the highest sales achievement for 2003. Rookie of the Year The 2003 Rookie of the Year title was awarded to Diane Hodge, Prudential Utah Real Estate. Diane grew dp in the California Bay Area and completed com-pleted a ' degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She began her' real estate career in 2002 with Prudential Utah Real Estate and has earned the e-PRO and ABR designations. Hodge has been actively involved in many Park City nonprofits non-profits including Co-Chair of Moose on the Loose, Summit County RAP Tax Commission. PTO Vice PresidentMcPolin Elementary School, Chair of Community of CaringTreasure Mountain Middle School, Young Life Board member. Park City Performing Arts Center Board member. Egyptian Theatre Company President and Board member. Park City Arts Council Board member. Park City Academy School Board member, Save Our Stage Board member and Counseling Institute Board member. This award is given to a first-year first-year Realtor for her outstanding achievement, dedication and high regard for the ethics of the real estate profession. Affiliate of the Year Brady Hartzog, a Loan Originator and Office Mentor with First Western Mortgage received the Le Roy J. Pia (Affiliate of the Year) Award for 2003. In recognition for his outstanding out-standing service, support and participation with the Park City Board of Realtors. Hartzog attended North Charleston High School and majored in businessmarketing at CIcmson University in South Carolina. He has worked in the mortgage industry in Salt Lake City since 1987 with First Western Mortgage, Crossland MortgageFirst Security Bank and Utah Mortgage before working work-ing in Park City for First Western Mortgage since 1999. During that time period, Brady was very involved with the Womens' Council of Realtors in Salt Lake City serving as Assistant Treasurer,- Raster v Committee 1 Chair. Ways & Means Committee as well as co-chair of their annual charity fundraiser. He was. also, a member of Crossland Mortgage President's Club from 1990 "to 1993. While serving as chair and co-chair co-chair of the Board's Affiliate Committee, Hartzog became a liaison among Board members and a leader among his peers.
