Summit County Sheriff's dispatch received a myriad of calls involving theft and suspicious activities. On Thursday, May 28 at 8:38 a.m., a Park City resident reported to Summit County dispatch that he has been receiving hang-up calls for about a year. The complainant said he has tried using 69, but to no avail. . Dispatch advised the complainant com-plainant to call U.S. West for possible possi-ble assistance, and to call the sheriff's sher-iff's department again if the phone company could not help. At 3:39 p.m., a Midvale resident reported that she had lost her cellular cellu-lar phone in the North Summit area. The complainant guessed that the $120 phone was either at the bottom of Echo Lake, or on the beach. At 3:41 p.m., a Snyderville Basin condominium security officer reported that unknown suspects had scratched his truck for the second time. The complainant told the responding officer that the approximately approxi-mately $400 in damage happened while he was checking on the hot tub, but he did not know who might have done it. The responding officer advised the complainant that officers offi-cers would try to patrol the area a little lit-tle more frequently in the future. At 10:15 p.m., an employee at a North Summit restaurant reported that a man had gotten off a bus without with-out any money for food or lodging, and without another bus ticket. While the responding officer was speaking with the suspect, a restaurant restau-rant patron overheard the conversation conversa-tion and offered to give the man money for dinner and lodging, and said he would help the suspect get a ride in the morning. At 9:01 p.m., a Wyoming man reported that his automobile had high-centered on the railroad tracks, and he was unable to push the car off the tracks before a Union Pacific train came through and hit the car. On Saturday, May 30 at 12:21 a.m., a sheriff's deputy noticed a car exit a construction site in the North Summit area and, as a car behind it entered the left lane to pass, the suspect sus-pect car quickly veered into the left lane, preventing the other driver from passing. The other driver attempted to pass a few more times, and each time was cut off by the suspect sus-pect vehicle. The responding officer pulled the suspect vehicle over and asked for a driver's license. The driver did not have one, and a passenger pas-senger translated that the driver had not seen the vehicle behind him. The driver was then cited for reckless reck-less driving and never having obtained a driver's license, and was taken to the Summit County Jail. At 8:08 a.m., a South Summit resident reported that the rear window win-dow on her truck's camper shell had; been shattered while the vehicle was! in her garage. The complainant; stated that she had been having' some trouble with her neighbors, but could not prove that they were, responsible for the damage. At 11:32 a.m., a Park City resi-, dent reported that she had entered-her entered-her kitchen earlier that evening tot get a drink and noticed a strong, smell of body odor, and the discov-,, ered that her purse was on the floor and $130 in cash was missing from-her from-her wallet. The complainant advised responding officers that all of the doors to the residence were ; locked. No entry point for a possi- ble burglar was discovered, and officers used the police dog to search the area, but nothing was-discovered. was-discovered. j .AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Now!tfeKealv Have Something lb Crow About Try ScMotzskfs New light & Flavorful Grilled Lhicken Sandwiches.
