IIII.IIM.I IIIMMH The Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 has added to its senior management team by hiring Ed Eynon as senior vice president of human resources. Eynon, who will begin his new duties on June 10, will be responsible respon-sible for developing and implementing imple-menting SLOC's employee recruitment, selection and training train-ing programs, employee relations, benefit administration and, human resources systems. Additionally, Eynon will be responsible for recruiting, training train-ing and deploying SLOC's volunteer volun-teer corps before and during the Olympic Winter Games. The Salt Lake Organizing Committee projects as many as 700 employees employ-ees and 15,000 volunteers at the time of the Games. "The Salt Lake Organizing Committee will be undergoing steady personnel growth in the upcoming years as we gear up for Pet of the Week This week, the Summit County Animal Shelter is featuring this sweet, male malamute mix. In his six-year tenure at MATRIXX, Eynon has been part of the leadership team that has generated revenue increases from $60 million to nearly $1 billion and the growth of its employee population from 2,500 to 26,000. He was also responsible for reducing human resources-related costs in MATRIXX's acquisition acquisi-tion of two companies by standardizing stan-dardizing benefits, reducing unemployment taxes and workers compensation claims, and streamlining stream-lining recruitment processes. Eynon's career has also included includ-ed positions with the American Woodmark Corporation of Winchester, Va., where he was the vice president of human resources and director of human resources from 1987-92 with 2,400 employees in seven plants.
