Show f THEp Thursday, October 25, 1979 4 Page 17 ' Oliver ' Cast Announced sunn ituicKS THIS IS WHY WE ARE HERE The cast for the upcoming musical presentation of "Oliver by the Kimball Art Center's Park City Players has been announced by Don Gomes, director of the play, and Jonathan Gotchberg, musical director, the musical musi-cal based on Charles Dickens novel 'Oliver Twist', will open Friday evening, December De-cember 14, and continue Saturday, December 15, and Thursday through Saturday, December 20-22. All performances perfor-mances will be held In the theatre at the Prospector Square Convention Center in Park City. Susan Jarman will handle choreography with Carol Santy serving as accompanist. Selected for the leading characters are Park Cityites Ralph Carlson as Fagan, Susan Erickson as Nancy, Amy Finegan as Oliver, Ron Burnette as Bill Sykes, and Michael Hunter as Artful Dodger. Other in the cast include: Mr. Bumble Quint Bishop; Widow Corney Mary Ellen Wharton; Mr. Sowerberry Gary Cole; Mrs. Sowerberry Barbara Bishop; Charlotte-Belinda Charlotte-Belinda Brown; Noah Marc Porter; Mr. Brownlow Mike Mann; Mrs. Bedwin Madeline Smith; Dr. Grim-wig Grim-wig Jere Calmes; Bet-Robin Bet-Robin Friedman; Old Sally-Joan Sally-Joan Williams; Charlie Bates Geoff Gomes. The adult ensemble includes: in-cludes: Mary Austin, Anne Burnett, Steve Chin, Jackie Craigle, David Gomes, Curt Graf, Linda Martin, Jean Piatt, Paulette Ponick, Bob Toy and Lisa Woolover. The children's ensemble includes: Dan Austin, Matt Burnett, Jere C. Calmes, Chris Carlson, Zack Craigle, Chris Eisenberg, Jennifer Holder, Matthew Jordon, Randy Poison and Carolee Santy. Director Don Gomes has also directed the Park City Players' presentation of "Cactus Flower" last spring, the summer comedy of "Romanoff and Juliet", and the current production of . Agatha Christie's mystery "The Mousetrap". Musical Director Jonathon Bochberg, an Illinois native, has been at the University of Utah where he received his Bachelor of Music Degree in 1979. He is currently seeking his Master of Fine Arts Degree there also. Gochberg has acted, danced in, and directed over 40 productions at the University of Utah since 1975. He recently closed his production of "Funny Girl" at Pioneer Memorial Theatre. His musical direction of "A Little Night Music" won the best show award at the University of Utah for 1978-79. 1978-79.
