FOUNDATION HOLDSJEETING The United States Brewers Foundation, national trade association asso-ciation of the brewing industry, held a special luncheon in the Newhouse Hotel May 14 in recognition rec-ognition of the opening of a self regulation division office for Utah and Wyoming. State, county and local officials, offic-ials, businessmen, and press, radio ra-dio and television representatives met with Utah and out-of-state brewers and wnn tne wnoiesaie beer distributors of Utah at the function at which personnel of the new office were presented. The Utah-Wyoming Division of the Foundation was activated in Salt Lake City February 1 with offices at 366 South 5th East. John C. Campbell, former director of the Utah Tourist and Publicity Council, is division director and James Grebe, former newspaper sports writer, is Utah field representative. rep-resentative. Gerald S. Gwinn of Sheridan, who had been with the National and Wyoming Truckers Associations, is now Wyoming field representative. This is one of twenty-four such offices, covering twenty-eight states, and was established by the Foundation to carry out its highly effective- self regulation program. This program is designed design-ed to insure that beer and ale sold at retail are handled in a manner acceptable to the public and under conditions strictly in the public interest. In pursuing the effort, the Foundation enlists the support of brewers, wholesalers whole-salers and retailers, to insure maintenance of the highest possible pos-sible standards in their day to day operations. At the same time, by frequent contact with state and local officials,, law enforcement enforce-ment authorities and newspaper editors, the Foundation staff encourages en-courages strict enforcement of pertinent laws and regulations.
