Hamlin, Ham-lin, mine: Atwood Moffat, de- m w w ww ww w Initial organizational meetings have been held at all Utah Copper Cop-per Division properties in preparation prep-aration for an all-out Savings Bond Drive among employees which will open May . 22 and continue con-tinue through May 31. G. Leon Christensen, employee services officer, who will head this year's drive as chairman, , said the goal is 100 per cent participation par-ticipation on the part of the 6,700 Utah Copper employees in the payroll savings plan for buying U. S. Savings Bonds. The drive is 'being backed by both management and labor. Both are encouraging employees to participate in the 1957 drive, said Chairman Christensen. Unions cooperating in the drive at the mine, mills and refinery include: United Steelworkers of America-CIO; International Brotherhood Bro-therhood of Electrical Workers; International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers; International In-ternational Association of Machinists; Ma-chinists; International Union of Operating Engineers, Shovel Department, De-partment, Local No. 3; Brother- partment of mills; L. A. Sabin, Arthur Mills; E. H. Skinner, Magna Mill- Central Power Station, Sta-tion, J. H. Harkins; J. W. Richardson, Rich-ardson, ore haulage, and W. S. Hook, Refinery. Committee co-chairmen at the various properties are: Bill Ab-lett, Ab-lett, Boyd - Pratt and Stan Jacques, Jac-ques, mine; Carl Borup and E. E. McCarty, department of mills; Victor Bohne, P. J. Landis and Dale Peterson, Arthur Mill; R. D. Thomas, Magna Mill; D. K. Hatton, Central Power Station; H. L. Lamb, ore haulage, and Harry Sneed and William H. Sorensen, refinery. |
