Show SPRING VILLE HERALD Thursday, November 2, 20Qg. Comments Satan destroys U.SA by stealth invasion Editor In order for Satan toestab-lish toestab-lish his "New World Order" and destroy the freedom of all people as predicted in the "Book of Mormon" (Ether $25), he must first destroy the U.S.A. There are ways to destroy a nation other than with bombs and bullets. bul-lets. The mostly quiet and unspectacular invasion of illegal immigrants does not focus the attention of the nation the way open war: fare does, but is all the more insidious for its stealth and apparent innocuousness. During the next few years, Americans will have to make a choice: either close our borders to illegal immigration, immi-gration, which is now vastly greater than any time in the past, or witness the passing and death of American as tidal waves of illegal aliens submerge our land into a Third World Country. The proof of this statement is the record of history. It is a history his-tory littered with the gravestone grave-stone of great nations and civilizations which allowed outsiders to overrun them. One outstanding example was the Roman Empire. Overwhelmed by foreigners, foreign-ers, the Romans lost the unit and common values they needed to hold their empire em-pire together. Though science sci-ence and technology have changed since the days of Rome, the nature of people and nations have not. If we fail to learn from the lessons of history, we are doomed to repeat them. All polls show that the American people overwhelmingly over-whelmingly want limited immigration reform and protecting our borders as mandated by the Constitution. Constitu-tion. But many do not realize real-ize the extent of the dangers ahead because of the lack of accurate media coverage and public debate. An important im-portant reason for the lack of understanding is that the powerful commercial, political, politi-cal, ethnic and the corrupt, godless globalist elites who control the major media do not want the issues of immigration immi-gration to come to national attentioa True American patriotism seeks tb preserve the time tested core of American heritage so that it is passed to future generations. Many consider themselves cosmopolitans cosmo-politans or world citizens. Tier religious is atheistic humanism. They are found primarily among the elite of foundation, universities, big business, left-wing politicians politi-cians like the moral pervert Senator Teddy Kennedy, Hollywood, ACLU (Anti-. (Anti-. These persons think of themselves as a superior class who have risen above national patriotism into an elite class and they look upon middle America with contempt and distaste. But their critics see other motives, mo-tives, such as egotism, greed and selfish ambition with no loyalty to community and kindred. The elite has managed to coin an entire vocabulary to demonize and discredit anyone any-one who disagrees with its preferences and interests on immigration. Many are nihilistic and hedonistic. The leadership of a country always leads the masses and they can lead them to high ground or into the swamps and quicksand as they are leading America. In conclusion, we cannot benefit the world by eliminating elimi-nating our borders and sovereignty sov-ereignty as advocated by the radical-left elite, if we do the world will pull us down to its lowest common level and we will have national suicide. In that case, America Amer-ica will no longer be a free and prosperous land or light of liberty for all nations. Once he has destroyed the USA., Satan will be able to establish his "Satanic New world Order" and destroy the freedom of all people. The great "Book of Mormon" Mor-mon" prophet Moroni, writing writ-ing about the evil works of Satan in our times, wrote; "...seeketh to destroy the freedom of all lands, nations and countries; and bringeth to pass the destruction of all people..." (B of M, Ether 825) The national security and the future of the nation and the American people depends de-pends upon how well we do our job and defend our borders. Editor: As the "Washington Post" reported on October 6, "No sooner did Congress Con-gress authorize construction construc-tion of a 700-mile fence on the US-Mexico border last week then lawmakers rushed to approve separate sepa-rate legislation that insures in-sures it will never be built, at least not as advertised, according to Republican lawmakers and immigration immigra-tion experts." The legislation the "Post" refers to is the appropriations appro-priations bill mentioned above that President Bush signed on October 4. The "Post" story reported that "shortly before recessing recess-ing late Friday, the House and Senate gave the Bush administration leeway to distribute the money to a combination of projects-not projects-not just the physical barrier bar-rier along the southern border." Anyone who carefully read the president's signing sign-ing statement will note that nowhere did he mention men-tion 700 miles of fence. He said: "The bill I sign today include nearly $1.2 billion in additional funding fund-ing for strengthening the border, for new infrastructure infra-structure and technology that will help us do our job. It provides funding for more border fencing, vehicle ve-hicle barriers and lighting, light-ing, for cutting-edge technology, tech-nology, including ground base radar, infrared cameras, cam-eras, and advance sensors that will help prevent illegal il-legal crossings along our southern border. That's what the people of this country want." , Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), (R-N.H.), who chairs the Senate Sen-ate subcommittee that funds the Department of Homeland Security, told the "Post" that probably" at least 300 to 400 miles" will be built. Don't bet even on that, if Sen. Gregg and the president's other "comprehensive reform" allies have their way. Remember, this is the same bunch that passed legislation in December 2004 (which President Bush signed) requiring the hiring of 10,000 additional ad-ditional Border Patrol agents (2,000 per ear for five years). In less than two months, President Bush had scaled back to 210 new agents! Let your leaders know loud and clear that you know about their deception. decep-tion. City should reconsider building issue Is it possible for the Springville City Council to revisit their "no" decision on the issue of the 15-story, 186-foot building that was planned on ground west of the north 1-15 interchange? . We find it difficult to understand why the council would turn down business-a business that will no doubt now go to Spanish Fork or Provo if not allowed to be built here. Tom Mower, principal owner of Neways and founder of a new company, wanted to build the office structure in Springville. Some members of the Springville City Council felt the building was too high for the area west of the freeway, formerly known as "Camelot". Coun-cilmen Coun-cilmen Bird and Packard voted "No" and Councilmen Strong and Burt voted in favor with Councilman Jolley abstaining because of his former employment with Mr, Mower. City Attorney Fitzgerald said that because the vote lacked a majority, it failed, so the Mayor was not allowed to vote. We can only see benefits to the city if this business were allowed to make their home here. Mower already owns beautiful buildings on the east side of the freeway, where he presently has manufacturing going on. As on the south freeway approach, new businesses are coming in because of those that came first. More businesses busi-nesses would come if Mower were allowed to build here, a certain benefit to the city. The reason for saying "no" seems to be because of the height of the building. The location is far away from the city. Why is the height a problem? Isn't the present Neways Ne-ways building also high? Is it a problem? As you drive from Provo to Springville now, you enjoy looking at the beautiful dykes that were put up to keep the lake back; we guess that they are more beautiful than a new modern of f ice complex would be. The tax benefit to the city, if this building were allowed to come here, would be tremendous, as the property would come out of greenbelt and be put into business category cat-egory for property tax. That would also greatly benefit Nebo School District and the children of Springville. We should be pleased that someone wants to bring in a' beautiful business building to that lake front property. It could do nothing but enhance the northern entrance to our community. We understand that our neighbors to the south have already offered Mower several locations for his building. We can either look at it in the far northwest part of the city or look at it in Spanish Fork or the industrial park in south Provo. It seems a no-brainer that we should invite, and welcome, wel-come, Mr. Mower the construction of his building in Springville. -''' Mapleton Police report Mapleton Police had 44 calls last week including nine for animals..
