They were married on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. - ' An open house will be held for the newly weds on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004 at the LDS Church located at 1440 E. 900 South, Springville, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Grandparents of the bride are Dwayne K and Peggy Anderson. Grandparents of the groom are Millie Jensen and Wanda Lifferth and the late Henry Lifferth. Scott is attending the University of Utah majoring in business marketing. He holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and is working on his master's degree in the same field. The couple are making their first home in Salt Lake City. The Miss Utah Valley Scholarship Pageant will be Saturday, Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. at Payson High School, 1050 S. Main, Payson. This open pageant offers two scholarship scholar-ship titles, Miss Utah Valley and Miss Deseret. To be eligible to compete you must be a resident cf Utah for six months. The reigning Miss Utah Valley, Carly Lynne Tooke, will host the pageant entitled "This is the Night." American Heritage is a private non-profit school for Kindergarten through eighth grade as well as a family resource center. "We welcome everyone to come enjoy the lecture and find out what we're all about," says John Covey, Director of the Family Education Edu-cation Center. His books have included "Called to Serve Him," "Lengthen Your Shuffle," "Raising the Bar," "Latter-day Commentary Commen-tary on the New Testament Gospels," "Fatherhood" and "You, Your Family and the Scriptures" just to name a few.
