St. France de Sales Come to First Fridays Downtown on Feb. 7, at 8 p.m. in the Provo Tabernacle, Taberna-cle, for a high adventure, comedy night at the movies. The Provo Arts Council presents, "The Navigator," a silent movie starring Buster Keaton, accompanied by Provo organist Mike Ohman. The audience is encouraged to boo and hiss at the villain, cheer for the hero and sigh deeply during the romantic moments. Involvement is a must! The first of Buster Kea-ton's Kea-ton's films to win national acclaim was "The Navigator." Naviga-tor." It centers around Rollo Treadway, a wealthy and spoiled young man, who finds himself on a deserted ship that has been left to sink. The only other person on the ship is his estranged sweetheart, who herself, has never worked a day in her life. Though given endless clues, neither realizes the other is aboard the ship. It is a comic experience to watch them take elaborate measure to try to find each other. Accompanying the film is the master of improvisation, organist Mike Ohman. Mr. Ohman works as a creative musician, entrepreneur and curator of organs at Brigham Young University. For years he has entertained audiences throughout the state improvising impro-vising musical soundtracks to silent movies.
