Show Local families await students July 26, 2000 - The Springville Herald - Page Seven Five families in Springville and Mapleton are looking forward for-ward to the arrival of new members mem-bers of their families. They are foreign exchange students from EF FOUNDATION and will be spending the school year with host families in the area. As a host family, they will provide board and room and accept them into their own family as one of their children. Natialia Castano who is from Colombia will be spending her year with Bob and Julia Haupt and their three daughters. Natialia Nat-ialia does not have any brothers or sisters in Colombia so this will be a new experience for her. The Haupts hosted Ana Squizzato last year. Natialia likes to swim, dive, hike, draw and aerobic dance. Sheffer and Yvette Clark will be the host family for Fiulia Baratelli who is from Italy. They hosted Sara Bolognasi last year who was also from Italy. Giulia has a brother in Italy who is 21. She will have two brothers and two sisters here in America. Her interests are swimming, swim-ming, skiing, biking, competitive fencing, pets and to ride horses. Argentina is the home country for Ayelen Campos. She will be living in the home of Roger and Karen Olson. The Olson's have hosted before also. It will be quite a change for Ayelen because in Argentina she has one brother who is 17. She will have 10 brothers and sisters here. Ayelen likes music and reading and would like to continue contin-ue doing aerobics, horseback riding and playing the piano. She is an excellent student. Florian Kamm is from Germany Germa-ny and will be living in the home of Kendell and Sandra Taylor in Mapleton. The Taylor family have six children. Florian is an only child. He is very interested in American football and hopes to be able to play it here. He is on a team in Germany. He is also interested in scouting, swimming, computers and he plays the guitar. gui-tar. The Netherlands is home for Floortje Helwig. She will be hosted by Rocky and Lin Brown of Mapleton. She has two siblings at home and will have three brothers and two sisters here. Floortje likes computers, listening listen-ing to music, playing the keyboard, key-board, tennis and skiing. These five students are very excited to be spending a school year in America and are looking forward to living in the Springvil-leMapleton Springvil-leMapleton area. Competition will be held Fri., Aug. 11. It will be held in conjunction with the Utah County Fair at the McKay Events Center on the campus of Utah Valley State College.
