She was born April 28, 1930 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Eysten (Ace) and Ida (Harmer) Johnson. She married Paul W. Weight January 21, 1948 in Spanish Fork. Carol enjoyed doing hand work with quilts and afghans. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with friends and family. She was very generous and giving. She gave many of her quilts, afghans and crocheted table cloths to many life long friends. Carol loved having her children and grandchildren grandchil-dren around her. Frandsen Ross G. Frandsen, age 75, died peacefully in his home July 20. 1999 of heart failure. He was born December 2, 1923 in Price. UTto Royal H. and LaPriel G. Frandsen. Frand-sen. He married Geraldine Beach. They were later divorced. He married Maurine Barrett Adams, April 12. 1958. She died May 15, 1995. He attended school in Price. Ross served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and was wounded in action. Following the war. he ' continued his education at the College if Eastern Utah. He was a policeman police-man for Price City, then went on as an investigator investiga-tor Willi the State Tax Commission serving 36 years in law enforcement. enforce-ment. He was a successful success-ful farmer and rancher for many years with a family owned farm in Price and a ranch in Minnie Maud, Duchesne County. Her friends Glen and Dona Coats were by her side. Her new friend and care giver Sue Marx was also with her. Sylvia was born on September 5. .1913 in Tacoma, WA, to Eunice Mae Brannin and Anthony Antho-ny John Kongsback. She married Walter Gatton and they lived in the Seattle, WA area until they joined the LDS Church and moved to Mapleton. UT in 1971. Walt passed away in 1978. Sylvia then married mar-ried Carl Fredrick Gifford Gif-ford on February 14, 1980. Their marriage was later solemnized in file Provo Temple. Carl passed away in 1988. She then married Bry ant Tingey who passed away in 1993. Sylvia graduated from the University of Washington Wash-ington in Electrical Engineering and later worked in the ship yards. She and her husband hus-band Walt built many homes in the Seattle area. Sylvia was a great seamstress and loved working in her yard and garden. She received many awards for community com-munity beautification. She could read and write in several languages and devoted, many years to genealogy work for the LDS Church. Sylvia was a kind and loving person and appreciated all of the love and kindness shown to her from her friends and neighbors. A very special thanks to her friends and neighbors in the Sharon 4th Ward and the East Meadow Care Center who helped care for her.
