The Springville High School Orchestra is preparing for a series of local state and" regional music festivals being held this spring. The orchestra will be performing per-forming at the Utah High School Activities Association Region Six Orchestra Festival March 25 at Springville High School along with many other Utah County high school orchestras. But sometimes the media can help rather than hurt. One example exam-ple is the story of the Stewart's from Springville. They probably never thought that because of their trial, many lives will be saved in the future. The Stewart's were in their home when carbon monoxide leaked from their furnace. They were found and rushed to the hospital. The doctors knew it was a miracle they survived and now everything is looking positive. Because of the media coverage cover-age and community support, many lives will be saved in the future. People are now aware of the hazards of carbon monoxide and. realize the need to install a detector in their homes. Many stores, such as Sam's Club, sold out of detectors the day after the story came out. It is wonderful tjiat our community com-munity has supported this family and now we are aware of how to keep. ourselves safe.
