Nelson, of Springville, Spring-ville, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer of the corporation, corpora-tion, and awarded stock shares in the company. "Although Billyboards may offer stock for sale to company employees at some future date, this will likely be the only stock ever awarded to an employee," said Mr. Taylor (who was previously previ-ously the only stock holder) in the announcement to employees. "Except for myself, Stu has been full-time with Billyboards longer than anyone else, and has shown by his dedication and unmitigated integrity that he deserves this honor. He has been key in the development of this company and helped bring it to its present healthy posture," he concluded. It was announced that Stuart's promotion is retro-active to February Feb-ruary 20, 1992, which was the business's 5th anniversary. Stuart and his wife Mary Ann live in Springville. They have two children, Cassie and Josh. He is active in the LDS Church and serves in the Bishopric of the Springville 4th ward. Aside from his family, church and employment, employ-ment, Stu enjoys most sports, mountain biking and snow skiing. He graduated from Springville High School in 1982 afterwhich he served an LDS mission to Taiwan and later studied Business Finance at Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. Stuart was initially hired as a sales representative at Billyboards and was later promoted to Regional Re-gional Sales Manager, which position he continues to occupy in addition to his promotion. Because he was educated in business finance and showed willingness to handle the books early in his employment, Stuart was given full financial responsibility responsi-bility late in 1989 and has managed man-aged the finances along with his sales responsibilities since then. Some of Mr. Nelson's accomplishments accom-plishments leading up to the promotion included stabilizing the finances of the company during the first critical months of operation, opera-tion, working with vendors and creditors to create a smooth cash Murine. An environment of personal growth at Billyboards contributed to Stuart's progress int the company. com-pany. On a plaque on the wall of the Billyboards offices, Mr. Taylor states the philosophy: "I believe that when a person is hired in this company they are only placed in the position available avail-able at the time. This is the starting start-ing point. From there, depending upon the drive and aptitude of the employee, he or she will climb or descend to the position and compensation com-pensation they are truly qualified for... and I will do everything in my power to help them get there. If they are qualified and prove themselves for the top rungs of the company, they will climb there and I will help them. If they are qualified only to work themselves right out of a job, they will fall there, and I will let them. This is the law of the harvest. It is the parable of the Ca! m i Murine.
