The Art City Days Committee is working at fever pitch laying the groundwork for the 1981 edition of the annual city celebration. Countless hours have already been spent in preparing exhibits and getting events organized. The next two weeks will see even more effort expended in putting the final touches on an Art City Days Celebration second to none. Although the time may be short, there are still many areas where the help or participation of local citizens is needed and very much desired. The Art City Days Committee is sponsoring a booth in the concession and games area of the Civic Center Park where some beautiful quilts and other hand-made articles, as well as useful, secondhand second-hand items will be sold. Donations of articles are being accepted at the fire station where they will be kept until the booth opens on Friday, June 12. The booth is being operated in order to help defray the costs of the celebration, without having to resort to the use of city monies. The cooperation of the public in supplying the booth with items to sell is vital to its success.
