Springville 489-5625 " u The opening of fishing season, May 30, will provide a wide variety of fishing opportunities in the Central Utah Region, according to the Utah Division of Wildife Resources. The low water levels in streams and normal levels in reservoirs is the cause of the wide fishing variety promised by the wildlife resources division. A report from the division said fishermen should expect the same fishing success in the central region waters as last year. "Many waters noot generally available the first few weeks of the season will be open this year." The report also said the larger reservoirs reser-voirs will attract large crowds. A fishing forecast provided by the division said a good brown trout population exists in Hobble Creek, especially in the lower sections. The creek has been planted with rainbows also. The forecast said the water is lower this year than other years of the opening season and is very clear. Nebo Creek has normal, clear waters according to the report, and has been stocked with rainbow trout. The report said the stream produces rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. Limited camping is available and the road is in good shape, the report said. ' Diamond Fork is a popular Utah County stream and has received a larger plant of rainbow trout for the opening, the report said. "Brown trout up to two pounds are commonly taken," said the forecast, and spinners and natural baits should be the best. Provo River above Deer Creek Reservoir will be fishable for the opening this year, according to the report. This section will be planted with catchable size rainbow trout from the Midway Hatchery. The river below the dam will provide fishing for both rainbows and browns the report said. "From the Olmstead Diversion shore and better fishing from boats the fisherman fair fishing from the shore and better fishing from boats the report said rainbow trout about 12 in-1 in-1 report said rainbow trout about 12 in-fisherman in-fisherman fair fishing from the shore and better fishing from boats the report said.
