Olsen Graveside services for Anna Amelia Nielsen Olsen, 88, who died Thursday, Dec. 27, 1979 were Monday in the Salt Lake Cemetery. Her sister lives in Springville. Born June 6, 1891, in Richfield to Hans Peter and Mary .Catherine Nielsen Nielsen, she married Joseph E. Olsen on Aug. 6, 1922, in Salt Lake City. He died Feb. 3, 1954. The family lived in Oakland, Calif., and Reno, Nev., before returning to Salt Lake City. She was a member of the LDS Church and the DUP. Survivors include four sons and one daughter, Ted H. Olsen, Dean J. Olsen,. Keith L. Olsen, all of Salt Lake City; Vernon M. Olsen, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Lloyd C. (Joan) Hill, Sandy; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Sarah Weight, Springville. Ferol R. Weight Ferol Roylance Weight, 86, of 231 W. 400 S. Provo, died of cancer at a daughter's home Friday, Dec. 28, 1979. Born Sept. 20, 1893, in Mapleton to Thomas William and Lydia Viola Hall Roylance, she married Leon Milnes Weight on June 10, 1914, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 29, 1955. She received her education in Springville schools. She had lived in Springville, Salt Lake City, Provo and Idaho. She was active in the Primary and Relief Society organizations of the LDS Church. She was a member of the Provo Sixth Ward. Survivors include two sons and two daughters, James Keith Weight, Springville; Ted Leon Weight, Mrs. Heber (Knola) Christensen, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Oather (Shirley) Roper, Provo. 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; three sisters, Viola Krupp, Bernice Monson, both of California; Mrs. Alma (Cleonda) Mkner, Springville. Four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services were Monday in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. Springville Herald Jan. 3, 1980. Evan Jacobson, 86, 133 E. 200 North, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 1979 at a Provo convalescent center of complications following surgery. He was born Aug. 20, 1893 at Oak City, the son of Ole H. and Rebecca Dutson Jacobson. He was married to Emma Bateman May 3, 1918 in the Logan LDS Temple. Jacobson was a graduate of the Utah State Agricultural College and Brigham Young University. During World War I, he was assigned to teach Metalscraft to the servicemen ser-vicemen at the Utah State Agriculture College and later at the University of Arizona at Tuscon. He began a 40-year teaching career at Delta, Utah where he taught four years. He taught industrial arts in Morgan for five years before moving to Springville. He assisted in the construction of the shop buildings in which he taught at both Delta and Springville. He was head of the industrial arts department in the senior and junior high schools in Springville until his retirement in 1958. For nine years, he was engaged in the Smith-Hughes Smith-Hughes programs of the federal government and during this time each summer he instructed agriculture teachers' at the U.S.A.C. in Logan. Jacobson was a high priest in the Springville Fourth Ward. He was the first president of the 333rd Quorum of Seventy ; filled a stake mission and served as first counselor in the LDS ward bishopric. He was teacher in the MIA and Sunday School, and twice served as Sunday School superintendent. For 33 years, he was a boy scout merit badge counselor and examiner. He had also served on the board of adjustments in Springville City. Surviving are his wife of Springville, two sons and two daughters, Waldo E. Jacobson, Ralph B. Born March 8, 1914, in Brigham City to Milton and Annie Nelson Jorgenson, she married Augustin Henry Peterson on March 29, 1941, in Salt Lake City. He died Aug. 12, 1951. She was active in the LDS Church, serving as a teacher in the YWMIA and Primary. She also worked in the Relief Society. She had been a clerk at the South Main Market Quality Cleaners and Westside Market in Springville. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Vickie) Bott, Springville; four grandchildren; grand-children; three sisters, Emma Gomez, Kearns; Laura Bishop, Salt Lake City,, and Alice Farney, Sandy. Funeral services were Monday in the Springville Stake Center. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. Myrtle J.
