Tuttles honored on 50th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Byron Tuttle, Springville, will be honored at a golden wedding reception on June 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bart's Catering, 544 S. Main, Springville. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Tuttle request no gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Tuttle were married June 5, 1929 in the Manti LDS Temple. They have lived in Springville all their married life. Mr. Tuttle was reared in Manti, a son of William Class of '54 reunion set The Class of 1954 will hold their 25th class reunion at the Oak Crest Inn Friday June 8, 1979 starting at 6:30 p.m. All class members are invited and no reservation reser-vation is necessary for dinner. Jim Duncan is chairman of the reunion and states that a good time is planned for all attending the reunion. It is requested that no felt skirts be worn to this affair. , Legion Auxiliary The American Legion Auxiliary met May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Senior Citizens Center. Lucille Laney, program chairman, introduced her nephew Steven Beckett, a returned missionary from Colombia, who showed slides and discussed the food and customs of Colombia. Mrs. Emily Tuttle was reared in Springville, a daughter of Elias and Pernelia Strong. Both are active in their church. The Tuttles have five children: Harold Tuttle, Earl Tuttle, Donald Tuttle, Glen Tuttle and Mrs. Neal (Thelma) Titcomb, all of Springville. They have 22 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Michael Richard Fackrell, son of Kenneth and Joan Fackrell, of Orem, celebrated his first birthday on May 25. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fackrell of Springville. II. :t I 1 31, 1979 events Aureole Club The Aureole Clubs dosing social was held May 16 at the home of Nyta Giles. President Juanita Larabee presided. The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was led by Helen Wheeler. The Club collect was read by Allie Goble. The three knight sisters played and sang, after which a luncheon was served. Mrs. Evelyn Bowers gave the rest of the program, which was a short history about harps. Harps date back to Biblical times. King David was a harp player. She stated that harps are a very difficult instrument in-strument to play as well as very expensive. There is only one place in the U.S. that makes harps today and it takes 3 years to make one. Mrs. Bowers then played a medley of old favorites and her encore number was an orginal one called "God's Night." It was a delightful evening. Mr. Clark was born May 20, 1899 in Vernal and had 13 children, 11 of whom are still living. He also has 56 grandchilden and 43 great - grandchildren. grand-children. Active in the LDS Church, he served a two-year two-year mission to the Indians In-dians and is now a high priest. Rodeo queen tryouts set The Utah County Fair Rodeo will hold its Annual Rodeo Queen Contest, June 5th. Girls ages 16 and up are invited to try out. The contest will involve in-volve a light luncheon during the late afternoon and horsemanship trials at 6:00 p.m. that evening in the Spanish Fork Fair Grounds arena. Winners will receive trophy belt buckles, cash awards, and invitations to represent the Utah County Fair at surrounding area rodeos and parades. Entry blanks can be picked-up at Ream's Boots & Jeans at their Provo and Lehi stores and Zac's Western Wear in Spanish Fork. Frazier Draney nuptials June 1 Mr. and Mrs. Ferrin R. Frazier of Mapleton are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Dawn to David Charles Draney, son of Berneice Draney and the late Rex Draney of Burley, Idaho. The bride is a graduate of Springville High School where she participated in the DECA Club. She has attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and is presently employed by J. C. Penney Co. in Provo, where, she is Display and Advertising Manager. Mr. Draney is a graduate of Burley High School. He has attened Boise State University, Ricks College and Brigharh Young Univesity. He is currently employed by Timpanogos Mental Health Center in Provo. The couple plan to be married on June 1, 1979 in Mapleton. 65th anniversary celebrated - Mr. and Mrs. Francis R. Beardall were honored on their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary May 25 at a family dinner held at the Oak Crest Inn. The couple were married May 25, 1914. They are the parents of two children, Mrs. Otto (LaVern) Neel and Robert "K. Beardall of Springville. They have six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. After a tray luncheon, members mem-bers assembled in the "museum," down stairs, where antique furniture, quilts and many other early day furnishings, belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Groesbeck's pioneer parents, fillled the room. In keeping with the theme, Merle Schreiner gave a history of her pioneer ancestors in story form. The retiring president, Jessie Dalton, presided over the meeting which was the final one of the year marking the 50th anniversary of the club's organization. Larsen reunion June 9 Descendants of Lars Larsen and Johanne Jensen Larsen will hold their family reunion on June 9, 1979 at Mapleton Park.
