Chuck Peterson Motor 400 South University Ave. Provo-374-1751 B ""'in ..,..y.j........u-;ii Charles Shepherd Charles Shepherd Charles Shepherd, 78, 1361 South 400 East, Springville, died Monday, Feb. 5, 1979 at the Payson City Hospital following a heart attack suffered a short time earlier at his home. He was born Nov. 10, 1900 at Springville, Utah the son of Joseph G. and Mary Angeline Watts Shepherd. He was married to Lula Holt Oct. 22, 1923 at Springville, Utah. The marriage was later solomized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Shepherd was a high priest in the LDS Church and had done much temple work. He was employed by the railroad at Thistle, Utah when he was 16 and worked there for 22 years. He was later employed at the Ironton Plant, U. S. Steel Co. and worked there until the plant was closed. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping; he also enjoyed working in his garden and yard. He was an accomplished ac-complished musician and played for many dances and social gatherings all of his life. Surviving, wife of Springville, two sons and three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Naomi) Adams, Payson; Mrs. Richard (Louise) Frandsen, Don C. Shepherd and Mrs. LaMont (Jy) Atwood all of Soringville: Russell Shepherd, Santa Clara, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and 33 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; one sister and two brothers, Mrs. M.G. (Nell) Crawford, Orem; Lewis Shepherd, Springville, and Leon Shepherd, Benjamin. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. in the Springville First-Twelfth LDS Ward Chapel. Bishop Marvin Roundy of the First Ward will officiate. Friends may call at the $3895 obituaries Aaron W. Rigby Aaron W. Rigby, 46, 654 E. 700 S., Springville, died Feb. 3, 1979, at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo of congestive heart failure. He was born June 11, 1932 in Fairview, Utah, the son of Joseph Clark and Vida Turpin Rigby. He married Muriel Giles Nov. 23, 1963, at Heber City, Utah. Mr. Rigby's early life was spent in Fairview and he moved to Springville in 1962. He was a member of the LDS Church and the Provo Moose Lodge. He had been employed as a master mechanic in the construction industry in Utah and Wyoming. Survivors include his wife of Springville; one son, Aaron Wayne Rigby, Springville; step daughters, Mrs. Joe (Peggy) Hyde, Mapleton; Mrs. David (Betty) Beck-man, Beck-man, Topeka, Kan.; Mrs. Allen (Barbara) Golding, Springville; and Mrs. Gene (Myra) Franklin, Provo; his mother of Provo; 14 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Margaret ) Garavoglia, Helper; Mrs. Shirley (Vida) Turpin, Springville; Jewel C. Mrs. Cox was a snack bar operator at the Utah County Building for eight years. She received her education in Springville schools and the Murray B. Allen Center for the Blind in Salt Lake City. .She was a member of the LDS Church and former member of Orem Business and Professional Women. Survivors include her husband; parents, Springville; four sisters and three brothers, Eldon W. Lunceford, Salt Lake City; Blaine L. Lunceford and Mrs. Jerry (Geniel) Nielsen, both of Provo; Mrs. Martin (Diann) Powell and Mrs. Earl (Colleen) Carter, both of Orem; Leon Lunceford, American Fork, and Mrs. Ronnie (Shirley) Branagan, Spanish Fork. Funeral was Monday in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel in Provo. Burial was in Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Walker Mortuary Chapel in Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
