Dr. Noel Reynolds spoke on the political principles of the Founding Foun-ding Fathers. He stated that the revolutionary, movement had its roots in rebellions such as the French and earlier Revolutions, but the American Revolution had the most far-reaching effects of complete separation from the mother country as a result of the profound religious as well as political convictions of the Colonists. Dr. Reynolds added interest to his lecture with slides of leaders, events, and memorabilia adding momentum to the movement. The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was founded October 11, 1890, with 18 members: today there are more than 200,000 members.
