Larry and Carolyn Hermansen, formerly of Springville, now of American Fork announce an-nounce the engagement of their daughter Lori to Rudy J. Tolbert of Salt Lake City, son of Mr . and Mrs. C. Bernell Tolbert of Salt Lake City. The couple plans to be married Friday and the reception will be held the same day in the Colonial House in Lehi. The bride-to-be is a graduate of American Fork High School and was a varsity cheerleader there for two years. She has also managed a clothing store in Pay son. The prospective groom is a graduate of Cottonwood Cot-tonwood High School. He was an all-state soccer player for three years. The couple plans to make their home in Salt Lake Qty. The Springville Federation of Women took second place in the state for a scrapbook project. The state convention was held in Logan, Utah last week. Presenting the award and $200 are Gladys Goates, state chairman of the community improvement im-provement Program of the Utah Federation of Women's Clubs, and Philo K. Holland, regional representative for Sears Roebuck and Co. Jeri Winger accepted for the Springville Federated clubs. The money is to be used for further community com-munity improvement. ! j(c ?j! Local girl graduates from Snow The Ephriam LDS Institute of Religion, adjacent to Snow College,, will hold its annual graduation commencement com-mencement exercises on Friday, May 19, 1978. One hundred and forty-four students will be graduating. They have their theme, Life Reflect chosen as "May My Thy Will." The graduates and faculty wish to extend an invitation to everyone who may wish to attend.
