Phelps, Director of the Utah Division of Fish and Game. Director Phelps reported actual testing is being conducted at five different locations to provide cross checks on data received. Testing of pheasants, chukars, and fish collected in September and October, 1970 has been completed but analysis and interpretation of the data is not finished. , Director Phelps said, "until additional tests are completed and the information analyzed, we cannot determine if any problems exist regarding accumulation ac-cumulation of mercury in Utah wildlife.'! The Division of Fish and Game will be working with the testing agencies involved to accelerate collecting of wildlife, preparation prepara-tion of samples for testing, and the analysis and interpretation of data. "As far as hazards to human health from eating wildlife are concerned, we cannot make this dermination," Phelps said; "this will have to be a con sideration of medical authorities and we will make all of our data available to the State health people."
