Committees for arranging the campaign and mapping details for Deaths Mrs. Ethel Blohm Ethel June "Brown Blohm, 49, of 795 East Third Norm died Friday evening at the Utah' Valley hospital, after an illness of three vears. Mrs. Bionm was Dorn June , 1896. in Redcranite, Wis., a daugh ter of George and Harriet Durfee Brown. She received her educa tion in Redaranite, and was mar ried to Rudolf H. Blohm June 4, 1821. in Milwaukee. Wis. Washburn Accepts Carbon Position Nile Washburn, former Red Cross representative in the European Eu-ropean theater of war, will leave Provo, in the near future to make his home in Price, where he will teach English and public speaking in the Carbon Junior college. Mr. Washburn spent more than a year in England, France, and Germany, with the home service division, and later, with the procurement pro-curement office of the Red Cross. He has been with the Red Cross exactly two years and 12 days. While in London, he went entirely en-tirely through the buzz bomb seige, and also survived the V-2 bombs which fell several months later. During the first year of aervice, he worked with communications com-munications between servicemen and their families. On May 19, he was transferred to the procurement procure-ment division to gather captured enemy equipment which had been alloted to the Red Cross. One son. Pvt. Van Washburn, is now stationed at the Aberdeen proving grounds, Md., with the army ordnance division. SCOUTS IN CAMP SPANISH FORK Boy Scouts of Troop 73 of the Second ward under the direction of Scoutmaster, Scoutmast-er, ReedWarner, have spent the past week in Payson canyon. There were 24 boys with members mem-bers of the troop . committee, headed by Ezra Warner. Warner assisting them inj the trip. Scouts of other troops of the Palmyra ' district will attend a Utah National Parks Council camp in Payson canyon from Aug. 14 to Aug. 18. Many Boy Scouts from the Palmyra district will attend. OPERETTA PLANNED SPRINGV1LLE The Fourth ward Primary organization will present the operetta, "Fantasy Toy land," in the ward amusement hall, at 8 p. m., Wednesday, to which the public is invited.
