Sprigville, High Mtjpi0e end Victories BY MILT JACOBS Provo high's mighty Bulldogs pushed in shots from out past the; foul line, Friday night, to gain another p re-season victory, this time over a traveling Box Elder five. Wtih the entire first team in on the scoring the Bulldogs ran up a 41-19 score fey gun time. The accuracy of the entire squad kept a jammed house pleased with the performance. Over Springville way, the Red Devils eked out a 21-19 win over a tall Pleasant Grove outfit. A boy by the name of Whiting sparked the Springville team to the vistory, quarter scores were 9-5 for P. After winning a sophomore game,31-24, Provo high got away to an early lead in the main contest con-test against Box Elder's Bees. Kump made the first basket on a one-hand push shot and from there on out the scoring was fairly . well divided up. Score by quarters showed Provo with a clearcut advantage: 10-5, 21-9. 32-13. Coach Simmons worked several combinations against the Bees. He started Kump, Peterson, Thur-man, Thur-man, Nilsen and Gardner, then started substituting: Cook (for Kump, Crane for Nilsen, Kump for Peterson, Crane for Cook. With tout four minutes remaining Simmons shifted in an entirely rested outfit: Nash, Preece, Crane, Neilson and Cardon.
