Show LOCAL OES CHAPTER ENTERTAIN GUESTS The O.E.S. Home Fund Committee Com-mittee of Martha Chapter No. 7, Mary Zaccaria, Frank Zaccaria, : Helen Sullenger, C. A. Morley and Frances Morley, and a few , members were hosts and hostess-I hostess-I es to invited Eastern Star mem-I mem-I bers of the state and their families fam-ilies on Sunday afternoon, May i 17th. The group assembled at the i Civic Center and were escorted on a sight-seeing trip to the open 1 pit of the Kennecott Copper Corporation Cor-poration where they witnessed the blasting and thoroughly enjoyed en-joyed a very interesting lecture given by Scotty Robertson. The group later returned to the Civic Center for a social hour and were served a delicious luncheon prepared by the O.E.S. Home Fund Committee. Mayor Morley greeted the visitors with well chosen words of welcome and later, assisted by Mr. Zaccaria, conducted them on a tour of the building. Approximately forty visitors were in attendance representing j Eastern Star Chapters of Corinne, . Ogden, Salt Lake, Provo, Vernal and Eureka, among which were j Mrs. Verna R. House of Corinne Chapter, Associate Grand Matron Ma-tron and Kenneth Lambert of Salt Lake City, Associate Grand Patron; Naomi P. Hoskms, Grand Secretary, Joanne C. Opperman, Grand Warder; and Past Grand Matrons Edna Whitmeyer, Frances Franc-es McCready Randle, and Past Grand Patron Harry Randle of the Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Utah. The O.E.S. Home Fund Committee Com-mittee w as ably assisted by Enid Curry, Matron of Martha Chapter Chap-ter No. 7, and Isabel Sorrels, Alva and Earl Evans. The contributions contribu-tions were donated to the Grand Chapter O.E.S. Home Fund. O |
