Why doesn't he give the purse he received at Chicago to charity if he is sincere, and maybe he would receive an offer for another crack. But if anyone knows the character of his handlers, hand-lers, you also know that is but a dream. No, I think Walcott Wal-cott is through, and the fight game better get rid of a lot more if it is to survive. Bingham high school has left for Monroe to play in the semifinals semi-finals for the state championship to be held today, Friday. Sandy will undoubtedly start his star left hander, Marion Cowdell. Coach Clark of Monroe was undecided un-decided as of Wednesday as to his mound choice. American Fork plays Delta in the other semifinal semi-final at American Fork. The Bingham fans only break would be for American Fork and Bingham Bing-ham to win, then we would see the state championship game played at Copperton. If Delta wins the finals will be held there. The Northwest Semi Pro league lea-gue got rained out in their openers. open-ers. So the season will officially begin next Sunday when the locals lo-cals play Midvale at Copperton and Layton goes to Morgan. Don't know the exact lineup for the locals lo-cals yet, but they will have a number of new faces when the season is finished in high school and college. Midvale is in the same boat. Magna looks like the team to beat in this league. Max Pessetto is the manager and also one of the best pitchers in Utah. He has a number of proven ball players play-ers and some good looking youngsters. young-sters. Bingham will be rough when Manager Babcock can field his regular lineup. This league should fill the need that Utah has had for youngsters to have a chance to play and develop. de-velop. Heretofore if a boy wasn't i quite good enough to make the Industrial league he was out, and j many of them gave up the game, i Boys that I am sure if they would have had the chance to play ' would have developed into real ! ball players. It will also give the j fans a chance to see new faces. ' So if you like baseball and want a team in Bingham here is out-chance out-chance to show it. Support this bunch of kids and I am sure you will bet a thrill watching the way they develop.
