They have spent the last few months at Anchorage, Alaska, and will now make their home in Springville. Members of the Needle Craft club entertained their husbands recently at a dinner at the Alpine Villa. During the evening a pro gram was presented and games played. Prizes went to Pearl Holley Hol-ley and Vanda Jensen. The party was under the direction of the officers Millie Bird. Inez Har mer and Arlena Holley, assisted by Marva Whiting. Aproximately 20 couples attended. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Hales enter tained friends at a turkey sup per here recently. Denfeld Still Undecided On Retiring From Navy Service WESTBORO, Mass., Dec. 8 (U R) -Admiral Louis E. Denfeld, ousted chief of naval operations, said today he will not retire unless un-less he decides it is best "for the Navy and national .defense as a whole." The tall, bespectacled admiral confessed he is having a hard time trying to make up his mind whether to quit the Navy or stay on and accept a new command in European waters. Mapleton priests held a ham burger supper recently at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Oscar Whiting. Following supper the group attended a show. The junior scouts here under direction of their leaders, Harold Gividen and Blaine Hales, will sponsor a movie in the church amusement hall Thursday at 7:30 p. m. The show will be "The Corsican Brothers." The Blue Bird girls under the direction of their teacher, Mrs. Cecil Curtis entertained their mothers and fathers here this week. A program was presented by the girls in the ward chapel and was followed by a luncheon. Christmas flowers were presented to the mothers and cards to the fathers. Special guests at the affair af-fair were Bishop and Mrs. Oscar Whiting, Welby Warren, Mrs. Marie Morgan of the Kolob stake primary, and Mrs. Lena Bartholomew, Bartho-lomew, stake Blue Bird leader. His removal resulted from hit testimony before the house armed services committee in October when he supported the so-called "Navy rebels" and charged the Navy was being hamstrung by the Army and Air Force. "I tried to be dignified," Denfeld Den-feld said of his testimony. "I'm rrot going to say any more about it. I've been asked to make statements, state-ments, give lectures and writ articles on the subject but I've refused."
