Long Story Told The pageant traces the Cherokee Chero-kee history of those years, opening open-ing with a scene depiciting the hosDitalltv of the tribe to the Spanish gold-hunting expedition led by De Soto in 154U. x- Scenes follow, showing the Cherokee refusal to enlist in a federation of war with Tecum-seh, Tecum-seh, the Battle of Horseshoe Bend, the saving of Jackson's life,, and his later refusal as President to intervene and protect their lands. .The- sequence depiciting the heroic sacrifice of the Indian leader Tsali is based on the legend leg-end - related by a tribal council member to the Cherokee His torical Association, sponsors of the drama.,; .
