They saw. They concurred. , The 100 or so folks who visited the Vernal Express building at 60 E. 100 N. during the paper's two-day open house all agreed: The new building is a winner. Visitors toured the new facility Dec. 10-11 and met with editorial, advertising and production staff members who explained their roles in the production of Vernal's weekly paper. Some folks were surprised to learn the paper is not printed print-ed in Vernal but in Roosevelt at the Uintah Basin Standard, sister paper to the Vernal Express. Ex-press. Both papers are owned by Brehm Communications, Inc., headquartered in San Diego, Calif. BCI, founded in 1919, owns more than 60 daily, weekly, semiweekly newspapers, newspa-pers, shoppers and niche publications publi-cations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. During the past year, the Vernal Express has increased its circulation by more than 900 - this is at a time when newspapers across the country are seeing a reduction in circulation circu-lation numbers and advertising revenue.
