Merkley chose to be married on Oct. 13 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. An open house honoring the couple will be at the Tridell Church house on Oct. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. Nelson is the daughter of Leif and Jeanne Nelson of Taylorsville and is a 2007 graduate of Kearns High School. She is currently working as a veterinarian technician in Taylorsville. Merkely is the son of Clifford and JoAnn Merkley of Tridell, and is a 2004 graduate of Uintah High School. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Budapest, Hungary. He is currently employed with the Park City School District. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City while they are attending school. The family invites anyone who was forgotten on the invitation list to please forgive them and attend the reception. Melissa Schurz, daughter of Donald and Karen Schurz, and Brian Howell, son of Daniel and Peggy Howell, have chosen to be sealed in the Vernal LDS Temple on Oct. 20. A reception will be presented in their honor that evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at theGlines 1st Ward Chapel, 1270 W. 1500 S., in Vernal. Brian and Melissa plan to live in Vernal. Since some people may not have received invitations yet due to problems that kept the family from getting them sent out on time, they want to invite all friends and family to come celebrate. Amanda Cook and Jeremy Morris have chosen to be married on Oct. 20 in Dry Fork Canyon at the Taylor residence. Areception in their honor will be presented the same location from 3 to 5 p.m. In case of oversight friends and family are invited. Cook is the daughter of Roy and Tracy Cook of Vernal. She graduated from Uintah High School in 2005. Morris is the son of Kenny and Gala Morris of Vernal. He graduated from Uintah High School in 2005. He is currently employed with ZECO.
