C his Dynamic Duo Saved Robert Clark's Life irginia Clark took her son Robert to see the doctor because he was breathing heavy and hadn't felt well for a couple of days. She made an appointment with Dr. Rod Pollary at DinosaurLand Pediatrics when his fever continued and he didn't seem to be getting any better. Dr. Pollary took a look down Robert's throat and immediately admitted Robert to Ashley Valley Medical Center. Robert's tonsils were extremely swollen, so swollen that he could hardly breathe. Dr. Gregory Bart, an associate of DinosaurLand Pediatrics, was the on-call physician that evening, and he received a telephone call from the nursing staff at Ashley Valley Medical Center. They were very concerned about Robert. Dr. Bart immediately drove to the hospital to see his small patient. Robert was having a difficult time breathing past the swelling in his throat. The. initial treatment of antibiotics and medicine,"" for ihe " swelling, was not working and Robert's airway was nearly blocked. Robert was moved into the Intensive Care Unit at Ashley Valley Medical Center and Dr. Bart called Dr. Michael Catten, Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, to come and see the patient. It was 4:00 A.M., but Dr. Catten took Robert immediately to surgery and removed the infected tonsils. "The nursing staff in the Operating Room were all so nice to Robert," said Virginia. "He was petrified, and they made him so comfortable and gave him a stuffed animal and a coloring book with crayons." Thanks to the dynamic duo of Dr. Bart and Dr. Catten, Robert made a complete recovery. "The pediatricians and nursing staff at DinosaurLand Pediatrics have been so helpful with Robert," said Virginia. "I'll never be able to thank them enough."
