A reception will be held that evening at Kokopelli Park from 5 to 9 p.m. The bride is the daughter of Leo and Lori Tiongson of Roosevelt. She graduated from Union High School in 2003 and is attending U.C.M.T. She is currently employed with Wal- Eric Caldwell Caldwell honored for piano Each year the Utah Music Teachers Association Uintah Basin Chapter honors a deserving deserv-ing piano student with a $300 scholarship. This year the scholarship was presented to Eric Caldwell. Eric has been a very devoted piano student since kindergarten. kindergar-ten. He has practiced steadily through the years and has participated par-ticipated each year in the Piano Festival sponsored by Uintah Basin UMTA. Eric has also supported sup-ported the band program in the Middle School, Junior High and High School each year playing the trumpet and has been in Jazz Band since ninth grade. The members of the Uintah Basin UMTA were pleased to honor Eric with their yearly scholarship endeavors. UMTA wants to thank Eric for being such a wonderful example to all the other music students, demonstrating dem-onstrating to them that piano lessons still have an important place in life along with other activities such as swimming, tennis, basketball, theatre, etc. Union High class of 1995 reunion Union High School class of 1995 will be having its ten year class reunion Saturday, August 6 at the UBTA-UBET building in Roosevelt. Toe tapping music to fill food pantry The first anniversary of the Outlaw Music, Breakaway studios will feature a camp-fire camp-fire food drive to help fill the shelves at the food pantry in Vernal. The event, hosted by the Bart Parslow family, will take place Thursday, May 5 at the Golden Age Center, 155 S. 100 W. The music starts at 6 p.m. and continues con-tinues until the last string has been plucked and the last toe has been tapped. The entrance fee is any canned food item and the Parslows say bring as many items as you can. They plan to f DR. Uintah Arts Council Juried Art Show The Uintah Arts Council is hosting its 16th Annual Outlaw Trail Festival of the Arts Juried Art Show entitled "Memories, of the Old West." The exhibit will be held at the Western Heritage Museum, 328 East 200 South, May 25 through June 24. Entries must be submitted by May 23 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There is a maximum max-imum of three entries allowed per person and a charge of $10 per entry. The exhibit will consist of two categories: Thenw... and Open with four, divisions total. Oil Acrylic, Watwcolor, Drawings (pen and ink, pencil, charcoal, pastels) and Sculpture (wood, stone or metal).
