Following is a quick list for the wedding party and family members mem-bers that identifies what they are typically expected to do. : LThe Maid of Honor - She is usually the bride's best friend or family member. As the name Indicates she will assist the pride the day of the wedding, tending to last minutes chores such as making sure the dress looks good, the bride's bouquet is in hand and arranged properly, proper-ly, her hair is perfect, etc. Often the honor attendant will accompany accom-pany the bride that morning to the beauty salon or spa to help keep the bride calm. It is normal nor-mal for the attendant to drive the bride anywhere she needs to go the morning prior to the wedding wed-ding ceremony. Along with helping the bride the day of the wedding, the maid of honor plans and hosts a shower for the bride. She may also organize a pre-wedding party par-ty to have a night out with the girls. She wears a dress (that she usually pays for) which matches or coordinates with the other bridesmaids. Her bouquet may be slightly more elaborate than the other bride's attendants. '.' Bridesmaids - Usually two to five select friends or family fam-ily members are chosen to be bridesmaids. They attend pre-wedding pre-wedding parties (tough job but someone has to do it) and help prepare for the wedding ceremony cere-mony and throughout the reception. recep-tion. They help the bride attend to all matters of the day. They may step in to pinch hit for the Maid of Honor if she is unable to go with the bride for any appointment. ap-pointment. You may not want to get married while bungee jumping from a bridge, but it might be fun to tie the knot at your favorite amusement amuse-ment park or onboard a train or sailboat. Couples with a passion for the outdoors frequently choose to hike to a waterfall or have their wedding in a favorite flower-filled meadow. The site you choose has a big impact on the rest of your wedding planning. An intimate outdoor wedding at the end of a hiking trail, such as that at Red Canyon Overlook of Flaming Gorge, calls for a smaller wedding party than tying ty-ing the knot on a train. And taking tak-ing your vows in a hot air balloon bal-loon severely limits the number of guests who will observe your ceremony. If you choose to take your vows in a special place with only the officiator and a couple of witnesses, you can always invite everyone else to a reception recep-tion held elsewhere. You might want to book a banquet hall or restaurant nearby since transporting trans-porting tents, food, chairs and other wedding paraphernalia to a remote site can become quite costly. A wedding held outdoors at a botanical garden means you won't have to worry about flowers. Kokopelli Park in Vernal Ver-nal has beautiful gardens with over 1,000 twinkling lights, 1,400 square feet of space including a handicap accessible bride's room, grooms room and private baths for both. There is ample seating space available for nearly 150 to 200 people indoors alone. Kokopelli Park also offers a sound system in and out and seating with tables for reception recep-tion and ceremony. Possibilities are endless when you are thinking think-ing of an outdoor wedding. Tying the knot on the beach calls for bare feet and a more casual frock. An outdoor wedding wed-ding in a meadow or park, such as Charlie's Field of Dreams is perfect for a Renaissance or Victorian Vic-torian theme; and a dude ranch is a natural for marriage on horseback and an Old West hoe-down. hoe-down. Curry Manor is a unique and cozy Victorian home redesigned rede-signed as a restaurant and reception re-ception locale with availability for indoor weddings during winter win-ter months and a combination of in and outdoor availability on the patio in warmer seasons. Catering is available on site and a bride's room is also provided. Curry Manor is close-to-town, churches, and the Vernal LDS Temple so wedding breakfast or brunch is also easily achieved with the help of their staff. Many rent their facilities facili-ties or can recommend nearby vine-covered hills appropriate for a ceremony. Historical sites, national parks, museums and botanical gardens are naturals for weddings. Ski enthusiasts can book their nuptials in a cozy lodge or persuade a minister to accompany them to their favorite favor-ite slope.
