Thousands of children and their families from the U.S., Canada and Australia are taking part in Operation Christmas Child, a project pro-ject of Samaritan's Purse which is headed by Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham. This is an international interna-tional kids-helping-kids project that delivers shoe box gifts, packed with toys, candy, necessities and hand-written notes to needy children chil-dren worldwide. In 2001 the project delivered 5.4 million shoe box gifts worldwide, including the war torn countries of Central Asia. This year it is hoped that six million children suffering from terrorism, war, famine and natural disaster will receive the gifts. In the Vernal area, the shoe box gifts should be dropped off at the home of Heather Hoyt, 759 W. 1100 S. by Nov. 22. Questions should be directed to her at 789-3603. 789-3603.
