He is currently employed at the Detention Center for the State of Utah. Vernal 4-H produces state winners The Utah State 4-H individual horse show w as held in Nephi Sept. 24 and 25. Each county sent four riders from each age groups: grades 3-5; grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. Participants used the same horse in all events and the horse was to be carried as the participant's 4-H project. pro-ject. Hats were required in judged events only but not during the timed events. The show was run in accordance with Utah State 4-H horse show rules with show management man-agement and grievance committee having the final say in all matters. The test scores would be used to break any ties and written test scores counted toward overall awards. The groom is the son of Jim and Evelyn Oldham of Vernal. He is a graduate of Uintah High School and is currently employed by Oldham Bros. Troy Lupcho, with High Altitude Cycles, was en hand providing bike tips: Rex Allen and Steve Jones had hot air balloons on the field and explained their mechanics and an ultra light plane flew over the school. SOAR provided students with an outlook for those who quit school and for those who choose to make the most of it. Millccam's idea to stress the opportunity's school provides pro-vides students, and the effort put forth to get good grades will make them and their parents feel happy and satisfied. Horsemenship and 14ih place overall over-all in judged events; Christy Gardiner, 10th place in Western Riding: Aleshia Perry ; and Chelsea Roth, 1st in Showmanship, 1st in Western Pleasure. 3rd in Written Test, 9th in Western Riding, high point in judged events and high point overall, out of 91 kids.
