Show Farm Bureau Talent winners go to State Fair Vernal Express Wednesday, August 9, 1995 13 Farm Bureau agent Ted Labium hosted the Farm Bureau Talent Find at the Vernal Jr. High, Monday night. There were 27 participants with acts including a violin solo, clogging, piano and saxophone solos, so-los, and singing. 'There was a lot of varcty this year," said Lisa Frost, coordinator. 'They were all good. I could not have picked a winner. I hope they all come back and compete next year." Winners in each division received $50 for first place, $35 for second place, and $20 for third place. The winners in the senior division, ages 18-30, arc first place, Ben Baglcy, piano solo; second place Austin Vickcry, saxophone solo; and Marci Batty, vocal solo. Intermediate division, ages 13 -17, arc first place, Shaylenc Sullivan, piano sclo; second place Emily Schurz, vocal solo; and third place, Brett Miles, vocal solo. Junior division, ages 7 -12, are first place Brittncy Murray, clogging, clog-ging, second place; Arissa Daggett and Nellie Eaton, clogging; rnd third place, Eriltney Massey, vocal solo. Beginning division, ages 0 - 6, first place, Steven Batty, vecal solo. The first place winners of the older old-er divisions will go on to compete at the Farm Bureau Talent Find at the Utah State Fair in Salt Lake City. The contests are used to showcase 4-H programs and determine trip and scholarship winners.
