An open house will be at Glincs 5th Ward Chapel, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The bride is a 1992 graduate of Uintah High School and attended LDS Business College and University of Utah. She is currently employed at Rattler Rope. The groorn is a 1991 graduate of Uintah High School and attended Utah State University. He is cm-, ployed at AT&T in Salt Lake City. A reception will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rasmussen home in Vcmal. The bride and her family moved to Manhattan, N.Y. from the Dominican Republic. The groom is a 1991 graduate of Uintah High School. He served an LDS mission in Melbourne, Australia. The couple will make their home in Oi'em, where they will attend college col-lege at UVSC. Mann Rich and Mann plan summer wedding ceremony Shelly Rich, daughter of Don and Carol Rich, Vernal, will marry Mark A. Mann,' son of Kathleen and Richard Hart, St. George, and John and Kcta Mann, Hoisington, Kan., on Aug. 10, at the Naples Church at 6 p.m. A reception in their honor will fol low the Aug. 10 ceremony. She is a talented tal-ented singer. Everyone enjoyed the program. Jean Statcn, Alice White, and Esther Mcrklcy were wished a happy hap-py birthday. There will be a Historical Meeting at the Golden Age Center, Saturday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Ralph Siddoway. Those who went on the Castle Dale trip to see the Castle Valley Pageant, report that they had an enjoyable time. We will be going on a picnic this Thursday, Aug.10, to Blue Mountain. The bus will leave at 10 a.m. The next picnic for the Senior Citizen will be on Thursday, Aug.24. We will be going to Indian Canyon. ' On Aug.18, commodities will be given out at the Golden Age Center to the Senior Citizens that meet the guidelines to be eligible. The commodities com-modities are rice, butter, and pinto beans. Twenty-seven people attended the dance Friday night. Neil Nelson played the trumpet, and Dale Ross was back to play the drums with the orchestra, after being absent for two weeks. John and Eva Merrill from Arizona, enjoyed the dance with us. Eva is Ada Murray's sister and was here to attend the Riley Green family fami-ly reunion. After spending the summer months here working at Dinosaur, Dee and Meg Green, who attended our dances regularly, returned to their home in Oregon on Saturday. Also, the Uintah Club will be giving giv-ing away a quilt, Sept. 1, during the dance. Historical Society news The Uintah County Historical Society chartered a bus Aug. 2, and 37 people from Vcmal and Roosevelt enjoyed the pageant at Castle Dale. Besides the pageant, there were two museums to browse through. They also got to see the winning result of their Emery County Fair. A lamb fry and other food was available.
