Sheriff seeks owners of stolen property The Uintah County Sheriff's Department is looking for the owners own-ers of stolen property recovered in the arrest of several suspects. Included in the stolen property are two pistols, a Ruger 22 and a 9mm. There are also two rifles, a shotgun, a wetsuit and a handy cam. Chief Deputy Robert Vanderbusse said that by recording the serial numbers of rifle arms and electrical equipment, residents can facilitate the recovery of stolen property. "We keep a computer list of reported re-ported stolen property and attempt to match them with items we recover," recov-er," Vanderbusse said. People who identify the stolen property should contact the Sheriff's Department. Vanderbusse also said that so far this year, calls for service have increased in-creased 21 percent over 1993, which were 14,452.
