There are two components to the Upland Game Habitat Stamp Program. One is the establishment and rejuvenation of existing upland game habitat and the acquisition and development of new habitat The second pan of the program, which has not been pursued heavily by the Division to date, is to provide public access to private lands throughout the slate for hunting. DWR biologists want to work cooperatively coop-eratively wiih private landowners to allow public access to private lands. The law allows the Division to make payments to landowners who are willing to allow the public to hunt on their private property.
