Wilkins William Roberts and Jana Roberts of Logan are pleased to announce the marriage of the daughter, Carrie Dawn, to Melvin A. Curtis, son of Melvin B. and Fawn Curtis of Vernal, and Tina Curtis of El Paso, Texas. The couple will be married Friday, Sept. 2 in the Logan LDS Temple. They will be honored at a wedding reception from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the USU Third Stake, 1295 North 800 East in Logan. Mel is a graduate of Uintah High School. He attended two years at Utah State University before serving serv-ing a mission in Concepcion, Chile. He will complete his education at USU. Carrie is a graduate of Bear River High School and Utah State University. She is currently teaching the fourth grade in Preston, Idaho. Following their wedding, Mel and Carrie will make their first home in Logan. Shelly J. Rasmussen, daughter of Darrell A. and Clara L. Rasmussen, of Ogdcn, formerly of Vcmal, and Lee J. Wilson, son of Gordon C. and Deanna F. Wilson of Longmont, Colo., have chosen Thursday, Sept. 1 to be married in the Logan LDS Temple. They will be honored that evening at a reception in the Walnut Room at the USU Student Center. They will also be honored at an open house on Saturday, Sept. 3 in the Longmont Stake Center. She is currently working on her master's degree in environmental toxicology also at USU. The prospective groom is a graduate gradu-ate of Skyline High School in Longmont and served an LDS mission mis-sion in Japan. He is a recent graduate gradu-ate of USU with a bachelor's degree in English. He plans to pursue a graduate degree in Colorado. Kurtz and Wilkins to be honored at reception Wayne and Judy Kurtz of Vemal are pleased to announce the marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Jenny Lynn, to Randy G. Wilkins, son of Rex and Debbie Wilkins of Jensen. The couple was married Friday, July 29. They will be honored at a reception recep-tion on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. with a dance at the Vernal Elks Lodge. The newlyweds are making their home in Jensen.
