"We will begin this morning (Wednesday) and continue for the next two weeks until everything is in," stated Uintah Recreation Director Shane McAffee. What that means is that 13 greens will be planted and 11 fairways. "The entire sprinkling system is in along with all the bridges, walkways, walk-ways, streams, ponds, canals and traps," McAffee stated, "we are still completing some fine grading around a few of the greens, but it shouldn't hold up the planting." The planting represents the culmination culmi-nation of countless hours of volunteer volun-teer community work capped off by 80 Uintah High School football players who walked shoulder to shoulder last week picking up rocks and boulders which had been blad-ed blad-ed up in the fairways and stacking them in the ponds, canals, and stream banks. If the weather cooperated and gave the Basin 60 decent days of growing temperatures, the new course could possibly be available for action the first of November. , .. -,v RANDY SHAFER tees up on number three on seed.
