Offutt Open House staged for S. Potts & D. Offutt Suzanne Potts, daughter of LaMar and Liz Potts of Salt Lake City became the bride of David J. Offutt, son of John and Bonnie Offutt of Vernal Sept, 15 in Salt Lake City. There will be an open house in their honor Saturday, Sept. 22, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Vernal Elks Lodge. Suzanne graduated from Hillcrest Xi Alpha Xi Xi Alpha Xi met at the home of Mary Fritz on Monday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Kathy Averill was the co-hostess. co-hostess. We were pleased to have Greta Spears and Rita Combs as our guests. Business for the evening included the Deer Widows Fashion Show, which will be held on Oct. 20 this year, the 1991 state convention conven-tion in Price and fund raising activities activi-ties for the upcoming year. The evening's program was titled "How Well Do You Know Your City?" Greta, from the city planning office, was also our guest speaker for the evening. She gave us an update on. the status of the Western Park and other area developments. The next meeting will be held, on ScpL 24 at the home of Kathy Brewer. High School in 1985. She is currently cur-rently attending Salt Lake Community College and working as a Legal Secretary for the law firm of Littlefield and Peterson. David graduated from Uintah High School in 1987, attended Dixie Jr. College in St George, and is currently enrolled in Salt Lake Community College. He is employed as a welder for Stott, Inc. The couple will reside in Salt Lake City. Beau Arts The Beau Arts club held their meeting on Sept. 5, at the home of Clara Price at 7:30 p.m. Our new president, Norma Wardle welcomed everyone and turned the meeting over to Clara to introduce the programs for the coming year. The theme for this year is "Women of the World". Each member then reported on what they did during the summer. Refreshments were served and new programs were handed out. Guests included Margaret Birchcll and Kathy Mashburn. The meeting next month will be held at Pres. Norma Wardlc's home. They were married in Cedar City during a double ring ceremony by the Rev. Glen Graves of Vernal. A wedding dance and reception followed fol-lowed the Episcopal service and was held at the Holiday Inn in Cedar City.
