STATE OF UTAH, ADOPTING THE UIN TAH COUNTY CODE AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES REPLACED THEREBY OR INCONSISTENT THEREWITH Whereas, the Book Publishing Company, Seattle, Washington, has compiled, edited and published a codification of the general ordinances of the County of Uintah, State of Utah, and Whereas, there are now on file in the office of the County Clerk, for public inspection, three copies of a document entitled en-titled "Uintah County Code;" The Board of County Commissioners of the County of Uintah ordains as follows: Section 1. Adoption. There is hereby adopted the "Uintah County Code," as compiled, edited and published by Book Publishing Company, Com-pany, Seattle, Washington. Section 2. Title-Citation Title-Citation Reference. This code shall be known as the "Uintah County Code" and it shall be sufficient suf-ficient to refer to said code as the "Uintah County Code" in any prosecution pro-secution for the violation of any provision thereof or in any proceeding at law or equity. It shall be sufficient to designate any ordinance adding to, amending, correcting or repealing all or any part or portion thereof as an addition to, amendment to, correction or repeal of the "Uintah County Code." Further reference may be had to the titles, chapters, sections sec-tions and subsections of the "Uintah County Code" and such references shall apply to that numbered title, chapter, section or subsection as it appears in the code. Section 3. Reference Applies to All Amendments. Amend-ments. Whenever a reference is made to this code as the "Uintah County Code" or to any portion thereof, or to any ordinance of the county of Uintah, State of Utah, codified herein, the reference shall apply to all amendments, corrections, correc-tions, and additions heretofore, now or hereafter made. In the event any provision of the "Uintah County Code" shall adopt by reference any codes or statutes not printed in full in the "Uintah County Coun-ty Code," such reference shall apply to all amendments, amend-ments, corrections and additions heretofore, now or hereafter made in said codes or statutes. Section 4. Title, Chapter and Section Headings. Title, chapter and section headings contained herein shall not be deemed to govern, limit, modify or in any manner affect the scope, meaning or Intent of the provisions of any title, chapter or section hereof. Section 5. Reference to Specific Ordinances. The provisions of this code shall not In any manner affect matter of record which refer to, or are otherwise connected with ordinances which are therein specifically designated by numlier or otherwise and which are Included within the code, but such reference shall be construed to apply lo the corresponding provl lion ronlained withirt this emit. Section 7. Constitutionality. Constitu-tionality. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this code is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, un-constitutional, such decision deci-sion shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this code. The council hereby declares that it would have passed pass-ed this code, and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase thereof, irrespective irrespec-tive of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases had been declared invalid or unconstitutional, and if for any reason this code should be declared invalid in-valid or unconstitutional, then the original ordinance or-dinance or ordinances shall be in full force and effect. Section 8. Repeal of Prior Ordinances. At the time the "Uintah County Code" takes effect, all ordinances of Uintah County which are replaced replac-ed thereby (see historical notes in parentheses paren-theses at the end of each paragraph of the "Uintah. "Uin-tah. County Code") or which are inconsistent with the provisions thereof shall be and are hereby declared repealed. Section 9. Effective Date. This Ordinance and the Code adopted hereby shall take effect 15 days after adopting of this Ordinancce or upon publication hereof in the Vernal Express, whichever shall occur last.
