Friday, Morch 23, 1984 Vemfll ExpfBSt 1 1 Naples agrees to community center agreement Members of the Naples City Council Coun-cil agreed to sign an interlocal agreement agree-ment between Vernal City, Uintah County and Uintah School Board District after making minor changes in the wording of the agreement. The agreements between the entities would develop and promote a community com-munity center and to do so on a joint and cooperative basis. Wording on the agreement that the council wanted changed had to do with the composition composi-tion of the community center board. They requested that wording be changed so the larger entities would have the option of requesting state, district, and private entities to join the board and would not require them to do so. Council members agreed to sign the amended version of the agreement. Vernal City, Uintah County and Uintah Uin-tah School Board officials had not signed sign-ed the agreement as of Friday. In other business at the meeting members of the Naples City Fire Department made a request for some additional fire suppression equipment. The department has solicited bids from two companies and plans to buy items from both companies. Some of the equipment requested by the fire department includes nozzles, hydrant values, simase suction and a foam enductor. George Mathis came before the council to request a business license to establish a luncheon counter featuring different types of barbeque sandwiches. sand-wiches. The counter would be established in the Trading Post in Naples and would not carry any side dishes.
