As of March. Duncan is the new owner of Park City's Curves, a fitness club for women, located next lo Gart Sports on Park Avenue. Il was an instant decision on Duncan's part to buy the franchise. She had known about Curves for sometime, but didn't try il until October, 2004. She visited lhe Curves website later that fall, and immediately seized the opportunity to respond to a posted opening for the Park City location. "I live in Colorado now, but I was actually raised in Sail Lake." Dunciin told The Park Record. "I moved in 1982 to pursue a career at Mountain Bell and then I worked for the telecom industry until last year. Now, I really feel like I'm pursuing my passion. Curves is cardio training. strength training and stretching in a one-room gym filled with ten hydraulic exercise machines and ten rest stations in a circle. It is recommended that members come three times a week for 30 minutes to complete the routine. Progress is measured by the speed at which a member performs the exercises, the amount of repetitions performed and by monitoring weight and muscle mass, says Duncan.
