Park City High School's Kristi Miller, 16, will appear in ads for "Keys to Success," Ken Garff Automotive Group's initiative to motivate students to reach new heights in school. Miller plays the role of "Kate," who with the character "John," answer questions from KUTV Channel 2's Kelly Chapman about "Keys to Success." In the ad, Chapman says, "So Ken Garff was just giving away 50 cars for free?" And Miller's character replies, "Yeah, but students have to do something to earn the key card." Throughout the year, schools can award up to 500 key cards to students as an "incentifying" high will be narrowed down to 50, and then these 50 kids will try out their key card on the Volvo vehicle," Hawkins said. "One of these lucky kids will drive away with a free car, taxes included." "Keys for Success" made the announcement last week and ads will begin airing in schools and on KUTV within the week, but schools won't get their automobiles "for a couple months," Hawkins said. The exact car for Park City has not been selected yet, but4t will be a Volvo. "We truly believe that education is the key to our future, which is why we have personally challenged ourselves and our employees to design and implement a community-wide program that can help change lives and create future leaders within our state." Unfortunately for Miller, she didn't get a key card for being in the ad. This is the fourth ad Miller has appeared in. Miller's agent, Linda Bearman, said, "Shc"s a wonderful, wonderful, vivacious, young actress. She does very well, gets very good feedback in her auditions. She's always taking classes and honing her skills. We love working with her." About acting. Miller said, "It's really fun." When she grows up. however, she wants to be behind the camera in directing or casting. "I just think it's more fun." As to how the program will motivate students.
