Show Supplier symposium held at McDonnell's The McDonnell-Douglas Corporation will host supplier symposiums to expand its already significant use of Utah companies. Contact person for details is Kent Watson, Bear River Association of Governors, 752-7242. A wide variety of products and services is regularly needed by the aerospace manufacturer. The list includes items specific to the aerospace industry such as tool building, hot and cold forming, sheet metal work, extrusion ex-trusion work and pre -mixed and frozen sealants. Like any other business of its size, McDonnell-Douglas is also interested in a wide variety of items that include business cards, signs, computers, furniture, electric wire and cable, machining, fabricating, motivational seminars and other items. McDonnell-Douglas already receives goods or services from 149 Utah companies representing small and large firms across the state. Dick Blair of the Utah Division of Business and Economic Development states, "If we're going to see the potential economic impact of our aerospace industry achieved in Utah, we need more Utah businesses to explore ex-plore the opportunity of supplying our aerospace companies." |
