Show BHS netters fall to top-ranked West SALT LAKE CITY The Bountiful Braves boys' tennis team fell to top-ranked West Friday 4-1 in a makeup match rescheduled due to rain. The loss clinched the Braves a third place standing going into the Region 6 tennis tournament. Bountiful's second doubles duo of Tyler Bumingham and Brett Wright earned the Braves their only win against the Panthers defeating Rick Workman and Tim Lee in straight sets, 7-6, 6-3. In number one singles action, Alex Lawrence fell to West's Ricky Skarr in straight sets, 7-6, 6-3. Bountiful's number two singles player John Bumingham fell to Tuan Ngl 6-2. 6-3 while number three single Rhett Neuenswander was defeated by the Panther's Sam Johnson 6-4, 6-1. Finally, in the number one doubles matchup. West's Joey Hicks and John Tinker overcame Bountiful's Tim Beck and Paul Miner in three sets, 1 6-2,5-7.6-3.
