Show Keep Lake Powell clean for future generations shoreline stinks and has black stuff in the sand. There is white foam hovering over the water in some areas. The worst yet is to find a soiled diaper left by careless campers. I believe that it's time boaters and campers realize that to keep this lake beautiful and clean they need to take more responsibility upon themselves by properly disposing of their trash and human waste to ensure en-sure the lasting beauty of this lake and its surroundings for all of us to continue to enjoy. It's one of my favorite places to go, and I would hate to see it turn into a polluted trash receptacle. Brad Kossin North Salt Lake Dear Editor I recently read an article in the newspaper about the trash left by boaters at Lake Powell and how it has polluted the lake. The pollution was especially noticed this year as the lake level dropped 50 feet and . the worst of the garbage surfaced Through my experience of going to Lake Powell for many years I agree with this because the lake used to be clear green water and have clean shorelines. There was no garbage anywhere. Whenever you stopped at any beach to camp, it was clean. Now for the past few years, each time I go to Lake Powell it seems to get dirtier and oftentimes when we stop on a beach to camp the The editor invites and welcomes letters for publication pub-lication in these columns.
