Show Federal retirees hold convention r- National Vice President of AFGE and is campaigning for the office of National President of NARFE. All federal retirees in the South Davis area are invited to attend the next chapter meeting June 12 at 1 p.m. at the Golden Years Center for a complete report on proceedings at the convention. All retirees are reminded that NARFE Chapter 830 presents an interesting in-teresting and worthwhile program on the second Tuesday of each month. All interested persons are welcome to attend. NARFE membership is open to all federal civil service retirees and their spouses and survivors and to all active civil service employees who have a vested interest in the Federal Retirement System. Four Bountiful residents have recently re-cently returned from St. George, where they attended the Utah Federation Fed-eration Convention of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Serving as delegates from the BountifulSouth Davis Chapter were Chapter President Carrol Howell, Lucille Christensen, Chapter Vice President Gordon Horsley, and Chapter Secretary Vernon Christensen. Former Bountiful residents, Earl and Mildred Hanson, who were charter members of the Bountiful Chapter in 1962, served on the welcoming committee for the host St George Chapter. Earl was the first president of the Bountiful Chapter. They welcomed delegates Lucille and Vernon Christensen to St George with an invitation to dinner and a personally conducted tour of Snow Canyon, Santa Clara, Dixie Downs, Green Valley and Bloom-ington. Bloom-ington. Delegates from the DavisWeberMorgan Area Chapters elected Vernon Voss to serve for two years as regional representative. rep-resentative. Speakers at the convention conven-tion included First District Congressman Con-gressman James Hansen, NARFE Region VII Vice President Russell Orton and Charles Carter, former president of the government employees union at Hill AFB.
